Next.js · Web framework

Next.js development for fast, search-friendly web products.

We build marketing sites, SaaS platforms and customer portals on Next.js, using server rendering and caching deliberately, so pages are quick for users and legible to search engines.

What we build

What we build with Next.js.

  1. SaaS applications

Multi-tenant dashboards with authentication, billing and role-based access, rendered on the server for speed.

  2. Marketing and content sites

Statically generated pages on a headless CMS, with previews for editors and near-instant loads.

  3. E-commerce storefronts

Headless storefronts with cached product pages, fast search and an optimised checkout.

  4. Customer portals

Authenticated portals over existing APIs, with server-side data fetching keeping secrets off the client.

The difference

When Next.js is the right call.

No tool fits everything. We would rather tell you now than halfway through the build.

Consider something else

  • Purely internal tools where a simple client-side app would do
  • Heavy real-time or long-running backend workloads better served by a dedicated service
  • Teams with deep investment in another framework and no reason to move

A strong fit

  • Products where SEO and first-load speed affect revenue
  • Sites that mix public content with authenticated app screens
  • Teams that want one framework for front end and API routes
  • Content-heavy sites on a headless CMS

How we use it

Practices we hold ourselves to.

Knowing a framework is the easy part. These are the habits that keep a codebase healthy after a year of changes.

  1. Server first, client where needed

Server Components by default, with client-side JavaScript reserved for the parts that are genuinely interactive.

  2. Deliberate caching

Each route's rendering and revalidation strategy chosen and documented, rather than left to defaults.

  3. Performance budgets in CI

Bundle size and Core Web Vitals checked on every pull request, so regressions are caught before merge.

  4. Typed end to end

TypeScript from the database query to the component props, with validation at every external boundary.

Engagements

Three ways to get Next.js work done.

Hand us the whole build, or add senior engineers to the team you already have.

Discovery sprint

From $2,500

1–2 weeks

You have a problem and need a plan you can act on or take elsewhere.

  • Stakeholder and user interviews
  • Technical feasibility review
  • Scoped roadmap with estimates
  • Clickable prototype of the core flow

FAQ

Next.js: common questions.

Why Next.js over plain React?

Next.js adds server rendering, routing, caching and image optimisation that you would otherwise assemble yourself. For anything public-facing, that means better load times and search visibility with less custom plumbing.

Can you upgrade our older Next.js app?

Yes. We migrate incrementally (Pages Router to App Router route by route, for example) so the product keeps shipping during the upgrade.

Do we have to host on Vercel?

No. Vercel is the simplest option and we use it often, but Next.js runs well on AWS, containers and other platforms. We choose based on your cost, compliance and existing infrastructure.

Can we add Next.js engineers to our existing team?

Yes, through an embedded-team engagement. Our engineers join your standups, work in your repository and follow your review process.
